This was fun to paint and I’m actually happy with how it turned out. When rotated 90 degrees the shadow shape looks like a hair dryer (happy accident).
Amazing, how your skills grow.
An expert will always look if you can differentiate and express different textures. You have done that skilfully; the hairs of the brush give a hairy soft feel, the ‘silver’ of the lipstick give off a silvery shine, and the pink candle gives us a waxy feel. The aluminium candle holder feels cold to touch.
You can be proud of yourself.
Outstanding!
Thank you Kathryn!
Excellent!
Thanks Elena!
Wonderful paintings…I really like the color and composition! Terrific use of brush stroke, too.
Thank you Theo. My style is developing and I’m trying to use more expressive strokes – glad you like it.
These are amazing! 😀
You’re very kind Patricia!

Thank you Paula!
It does look like a hair dryer. great work.
Thanks TBM!
This is so real! Mesmerizing! I like the soft colors, also.
Thanks Leslie! There’s a lot of pink which is often over used in marketing towards women so I almost didn’t paint it, but I’m glad I did.

Great stuff mate, I love all the different textures you have going on in the picture, it’s most effective.
Thanks for the kind comment Snellopy!
